—VINEYARDS
Indigenous grape varieties, native vines, massal selections, biodiversity
We are in Abruzzo region, near the hillside town of Cugnoli, between 330 and 380 meters above sea level. Our 30 hectares (74.13 acres) of vineyards are located in an uncontaminated landscape filled with biodiversity. A territory that enjoys a peculiar microclimate with a pleasant sea breeze coming from the Adriatic coast and cold mountain currents coming from the Maiella massif. Our vineyards, planted on calcareous, mixed limestone and clay soils, come from massal selections of ancient native varieties of Trebbiano Abruzzese, Pecorino and Montepulciano. The age of the vineyards varies between 25 and 90 years, and our Trebbiano Abruzzese vines are among the oldest in Abruzzo.
—WHO WE ARE
Antonio and Cristiana Tiberio
Since 2008 we have been leading the family farm founded by our father Riccardo in 2000. Antonio, a viticulture and oenology graduate, takes care of the agronomic aspect and Cristiana fills the role of the winemaking: she is a chemistry graduate with training stints in Champagne and Australia backed by repeated visits to the Mosel and Chablis.
All our vineyards are planted with massal selections from our oldest vines and we only practice sustainable cultivation methods to guarantee grapes that best express the terroir and our identity. In the cellar we try to intervene as little as possible and we just help the wine on its natural evolution, without any forcing, relying on our experience and the particularity of the vintage.
“You can only truly make a wine with the greatest expression of the place if you have lived there and really understand the climate and sense of the place.”

—OUR WINES
From grapes to wine
For us the health of the grapes at harvest determines the wine’s quality. The vinification, élévage and aging of each of our wines are carried out with the utmost care and out of immense respect for the vintage, our terroir and our original and historic wine grape biotypes. Our aim is to express in each bottle we produce variety-accurate, true to type, aromas and flavours of our specific wine grapes, our soils, and microclimates in keeping with the vintage’s characteristics. For this reason, our wines will vary slightly in their organoleptic profiles from year to year, as we do not follow standard winemaking recipes or force our grapes and our terroirs to give something they cannot.
